I am a Postnatal Doula

In the days immediately after a new birth, you might feel as if you were floating in a private bubble of happiness, but real life can wake you up when you become aware that actually, you are also part of a society full of myths and unsolicited opinions that may affect your confidence as a mother, leading you to feel fear and anxiety.

That's why every new Mum deserves a postnatal Doula.

But, what a postnatal Doula does?

A postnatal Doula is experienced in providing support in the home to the new mother, partner and/or siblings in their adjustment to the new family life, so they can be empowered to take informed decisions that are right for their baby and for them as a family.

I am a postnatal Doula, which means I can provide you:

- In-home personalised support for the Mum, baby and family. This includes comfort measures for postpartum recovery.

- Breastfeeding support and advice, if needed. Or support and assistance with bottle feeding.

- Non-judgemental reassurance.

- Nurturing companionship.

- Engage with older siblings to give the new parents and baby some one-on-one time.

- Helping Mum and partner to understand the baby's cues.

- Newborn care assistance.

- Helping with light housekeeping, errands and/or meal preparation.

And so on...
